EU May 8, 2009 issued a notification No. G/TBT/N/EEC/273 entitled: the implementation of the European Commission of the European Parliament and the Council on the refrigeration equipment home eco-design requirements of the Directive 2005/32/EC of the draft regulations, involved in domestic refrigeration equipment.

      The European Commission draft regulations on the domestic refrigeration equipment provides a minimum energy performance requirements, restrictions on energy consumption because of the potential costs and benefits. According to Directive 2005/32/EC, do not meet the minimum requirements of the product will not be allowed to put the EU market. The draft regulations with stakeholders around the world with the technical, environmental and economic results of the study. The European Commission draft regulations will also revoke the European Parliament and the Council of September 3, 1996 on the home refrigerator, freezer and combination of energy efficiency requirements of the Directive 96/57/EC. 

      The approval of the draft regulations Date: July 2009. The effective date to be: in the EU Official Journal on 20 days after the publication. No. 1 request from July 1, 2010 apply. The closing date for comments: Since the date of notification 60 days. 

      G/TBT/N/EEC/274 The European Union also issued a bulletin entitled: Committee on the draft directive, the implementation of energy-efficiency labeling of household refrigeration appliances of the Council Directive 92/75/EC. Involved in domestic refrigeration equipment. The draft directive provides for labeling requirements, and the addition of household refrigeration appliances, including on energy efficiency levels of product information, including the provisions. The draft directive will be removed January 21, 1994, and implementation of household refrigerators, freezers and combinations of energy-efficiency labeling of Council Directive 92/75/EEC Council Directive 94/2/EC. The above purpose is to enable end-users in the purchase of household refrigeration appliances can make informed choices, will help to combat climate change and increasing energy efficiency in the European Union.
